Course overview
This workshop offers a practical introduction to landscape oil painting. Designed for beginners and those looking to strengthen foundational skills, the workshop focuses on key aspects of composition, colour mixing, and brush handling. We’ll study reproductions of 20th-century landscape painters to understand their approach to composition and colour, then apply those insights in our own study from a reference photo. Special attention will be given to mixing colours for elements of landscape like water, sky, and grass, using an extended palette to achieve a broad range of hues and rich colour harmonies.
All materials are provided. Bring your own brushes.
